Dubai, 2 September 2025 – INEOS Automotive has reached a significant achievement in the Middle East by delivering its 1,000th Grenadier 4X4, just a little over two years since entering the market. The sturdy, British-engineered vehicle has rapidly become popular among adventurers, professionals, and off-road fans.
REGIONAL GROWTH AND INVESTMENT
As part of its expanding global presence, INEOS Automotive is strengthening its footprint in the Middle East and Africa. Spearheading this new phase is Dan Balmer, the newly appointed Head of Region. Balmer brings extensive experience from leadership positions at BMW, Aston Martin, Lotus, and Rolls-Royce.
His base of operations will be the new regional headquarters located in Dubai’s Arenco Tower, Media City, where an expanding team – including UK-based staff – will oversee sales, marketing, customer service, and dealer relations.
With operations already established in six countries and seven dealership locations
INEOS Automotive is now preparing to expand its reach across the GCC and enter untapped markets in the Middle East and Africa. “Delivering our 1,000th Grenadier shows that drivers in the region are connecting with what we’ve created,” said Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive. “We’re responding to that enthusiasm with real investment – a new regional headquarters, a growing team, and dynamic leadership from Dan Balmer, who’s ready to elevate our operations.”
INDUSTRY EXPERT AT THE HELM
Recently appointed as the regional head, Dan Balmer brings a wealth of international experience and strong regional knowledge to the role. Having led teams in some of the world’s top automotive companies, he is now focused on expanding INEOS Automotive’s market presence and building partnerships across the region.
“Reaching this milestone is just the start,” said Balmer
“The Middle East and Africa hold enormous promise, and I’m excited to lead our expansion – from entering new markets to delivering top-tier customer service.”
Balmer began his career as an apprentice design technician and rose through the ranks at BMW and Rolls-Royce.
His first leadership role was in 2012 as General Manager for Rolls-Royce in Asia Pacific. In 2014, he joined Aston Martin and led several regional teams, most recently as President for the UK, Middle East & Africa. At Lotus, starting in 2021, he served as President and CEO for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, and most recently held the top position for Lotus Cars Europe.
