The all new electric version of the Nissan Juke has been officially revealed, marking a major shift for the popular compact crossover as it enters the EV era. Set to launch in spring 2027, the third generation Juke embraces a striking new Origami inspired design while sharing its electric platform with the latest Nissan Leaf.
A Return to Bold Polarizing Design
When the second generation Juke debuted in 2019, Nissan toned down the styling to appeal to a broader audience. However, with this new electric model, the brand is going back to its roots.
The latest Juke EV adopts a more daring and unconventional look, reminiscent of the original model that divided opinions but stood out in the crowded crossover segment. This bold approach also helps distinguish it visually from the new LEAF, despite the two models sharing the same underpinnings.
Shared Platform and Expected Powertrains
Although Nissan has not officially confirmed technical specifications, the new Juke EV is expected to use the CMF EV platform already found in the LEAF.
Based on that, likely powertrain options include:
52 kWh battery with a 174 hp front mounted motor
75 kWh battery with a 214 hp motor for longer range

Estimated driving range could reach:
Around 260 miles or 418 km for the standard version
Up to 360 miles or 579 km for the long range model
ICE Version to Continue Temporarily
Before the full EV arrives, Nissan is expected to introduce an updated internal combustion engine version of the current Juke. This refreshed model will likely adopt design cues from the electric version, helping bridge the gap until the EV officially goes on sale.

Production and Launch Timeline
The electric Juke will be built in Sunderland in the United Kingdom, reinforcing Nissan’s commitment to electrification in Europe. Sales are scheduled to begin in spring 2027, with teaser campaigns expected to roll out gradually over the coming months.
Nissan’s Vision for the Electric Juke
According to Nissan’s leadership, the Juke has always represented bold design and innovation. With this new generation, the company aims to bring that same disruptive spirit into the electric age, attracting new customers while expanding its EV lineup.
