Dubai, UAE – 19 May 2025: In a groundbreaking move, FUSE has introduced the world’s first fully electric, high-performance Nissan Patrol—revamping the Middle East’s most iconic off-road vehicle. Built in the UAE specifically for local conditions, this version preserves the original’s luxury, toughness, and rugged appeal while adding modern electric performance, making it the only EV of its kind globally.

With a mission to retain the vehicle’s original character, FUSE—a tech-forward startup focused on converting gas-powered vehicles to electric—carried out a full metal restoration. The rebuild used original components and eco-conscious materials. Key features include a 110kWh dual battery from Fellten UK, enhanced ARB suspension, vegan leather interiors, electric power steering and brakes, and custom Method wheels fitted with 34-inch Cooper tires—marking a major step forward for the classic Y60 Patrol in the era of sustainable mobility.

Nissan Patrol EV

The debut of the Nissan Patrol EV comes as the UAE and the broader region ramp up initiatives to achieve net-zero emissions. As the world increasingly shifts toward eco-friendly transportation, FUSE highlights its commitment to innovation by electrifying a legendary model— the Nissan Patrol, one of the brand’s most enduring vehicles—offering a glimpse into the future of automotive mobility in the UAE.

EV outperforms the original Patrol

Powered by a 600-horsepower electric motor, the EV outperforms the original Patrol in both on-road and off-road settings, making it the fastest electric classic SUV for off-roading in the UAE. This reinvented model features a lighter body and has been carefully engineered to handle the region’s extreme weather and tough terrain.

At the launch event, FUSE CEO and co-founder Salman Hussain remarked, “This project was among the toughest but also the most rewarding. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. The advanced electric powertrain blends the timeless appeal of the Patrol with cutting-edge performance—proving that even automotive icons can evolve to support sustainability without losing their legendary strength and heritage.”
