• Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+, a new sports vehicle with track capability.
  • The primary modifications to the vehicle are improved cooling and aerodynamics, which also come with standard carbon-ceramic brakes.
  • the 4.0-liter V-8 AMG GT pushes an exaggerating 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque
  • It is anticipated that deliveries of this model would begin early next year in 2025

Based on the same basis as the SL roadster, the contemporary GT 63 PRO is a twin identical to its predecessor. Fans and buyers have praised it for this as well because it lacks the transaxle construction and relatively light weight of the prior model.

It’s a performance-focused version that should make driving even more thrilling. The muscular front fascia of the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ stands out thanks to its bigger intakes and extra carbon fiber deflectors. Among the other notable features is the active Air Panel air control system, which contributes to a front axle aerodynamic lift reduction of about 66 lbs (29.9 kg).

GT 63 PRO Power-train

The GT 63 Pro is powered by the same 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine as the normal AMG GT 63, but the Mercedes-AMG team tuned it to produce 26 more horsepower and 37 more pound-feet of torque than the base engine, for a total of 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. The GT 63 features a nine-speed automatic transmission with a wet clutch in place of a torque converter, together with 4Matic all-wheel drive.

According to AMG‘s own statistics, the GT63 Pro accelerates to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, which is the same as the standard model. However, the Pro is said to be 0.5 seconds quicker from zero to 124 mph, meaning it can complete the more difficult benchmark in just 10.9 seconds.

If the remaining parts of the car cannot support the additional power, it is not much use. The Mercedes-AMG team claims that they have installed two radiators to the front of the vehicle and improved the cooling package to better control the drivetrain temperatures with an eye on the racetrack. The package also included cooling for the differentials in the front and rear.

Aerodynamic Exterior

The addition of a fixed rear wing at the back finished in bare carbon fiber is the most noticeable aerodynamic alteration. To speed up airflow over the underbody and rear diffuser, there are more air deflectors under the car. Although AMG does not provide total downforce figures, it does state that the Pro has up to 33 pounds more downforce at the rear and up to 66 pounds less aerodynamic lift over the front axle.
An AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber option is also included as standard, which adds to the car’s athletic appearance. The lightweight 21-inch forged split-spoked wheels in Himalaya Grey, which is also a standard option, support the GT 63 Pro.

Interior

Mercedes did not provide many details regarding the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+’s interior, although it includes AMG Performance seats and a performance steering wheel covered in leather and microfiber. A 11.9-inch infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and an optional back seat join them

You’ll have to wait until next year if you want to add one of these GT 63 Pros to your collection. Mercedes-AMG has stated that these will be available at dealerships at some point in 2025, but it has not specified when.

Mercedes hasn’t disclosed the starting price either, although you can anticipate it to surpass the $177,050 of the GT 63 standard. It also shouldn’t be impossible to approach $190,000.
