The Ford Super Duty lineup already includes some of the largest pickup trucks on the road. However, one custom builder decided that even that size was not enough. As a result, the project produced a six-door Ford F-450, an enormous modified truck capable of carrying up to 11 passengers.

Originally, the vehicle started as a Ford F-450 Platinum, which already sits at the top of Ford’s heavy-duty pickup range. However, the builder dramatically stretched the truck’s chassis and body. Consequently, the truck gained a third pair of doors and a much longer cabin. As a result, the vehicle now looks closer to a commercial transport truck than a traditional pickup.

How the Six-Door Ford F-450 Was Built

The project required major structural modifications. First, the builder stretched the chassis and body to create space for extra doors and seats. As a result, the six-door Ford F-450 can now accommodate 11 passengers while still retaining its original 8-foot pickup bed.

Moreover, the truck’s new proportions make it far larger than a standard pickup. In fact, the vehicle now resembles some commercial transport trucks in both size and presence.

Inside the cabin, the builder upgraded the interior to maintain passenger comfort. Additionally, the truck keeps the luxury features of the Platinum trim. At the same time, it adds rear-seat entertainment systems and a larger display. Furthermore, additional air-conditioning units ensure that all passengers remain comfortable inside the extended cabin.

Powerful Diesel Engine and Major Mechanical Upgrades

The six-door Ford F-450 continues to rely on Ford’s well-known 6.7-liter PowerStroke V8 diesel engine. In standard configuration, the engine produces about 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

However, the modified version pushes performance even further. The builder installed a custom twin-turbo system along with a larger intercooler. In addition, the engine received revised tuning to support the upgrades. Although exact power figures remain unknown, these modifications likely increase performance well beyond factory specifications.

Meanwhile, the suspension system also received extensive upgrades. The truck now features a custom adjustable suspension that allows independent height control at each axle. Consequently, the truck can run massive 46-inch tires when fully raised. On the other hand, smaller 36-inch tires make everyday driving more manageable.

A Massive Fuel Capacity

The extreme scale of the six-door Ford F-450 also extends to its fuel system. For example, the builder added several auxiliary fuel tanks. As a result, total fuel capacity now reaches approximately 185 gallons, or about 700 liters.

Naturally, filling such a large fuel system is expensive. Therefore, a full refill could easily exceed $1,000 depending on diesel prices in the United States.

A Custom Truck Worth Nearly Half a Million Dollars

Building such an extraordinary truck required a significant investment. In fact, estimates suggest the project cost reached around $500,000.

However, the truck eventually appeared for sale online for roughly $399,900. Even at that price, it remains far more expensive than a standard Ford F-450 Platinum.

When Truck Customization Goes to the Extreme

The six-door Ford F-450 perfectly illustrates the extreme truck customization culture found in the United States. Many enthusiasts enjoy pushing pickup trucks beyond their original limits.

In this case, a heavy-duty work truck became a massive showpiece. Moreover, the project combines luxury, performance, and sheer size.

Ultimately, builds like this highlight the creativity and ambition of custom truck builders. They also demonstrate that, in the world of modified pickups, engineering possibilities are almost limitless.
