The RB17 is a track-only hypercar with extraordinary aerodynamics and a powerful V-10 hybrid drivetrain. It was developed by the leading F1 team. Adrian Newey, who has developed 12 championship-winning Formula One cars
The RB17, which was originally unveiled in a public exhibition at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, has undergone many modifications since the project’s June 2022 launch.
Engine specifications of the RB17
The two-seater mid-engine hypercar’s electrically assisted 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V-10 engine, which can reach an incredible 15,000 rpm, produces over 1,200 horsepower. Red Bull promises track performance comparable to a Formula 1 car, even though it weighs less than 1,984 pounds.
With a maximum speed of over 350 kph, only 50 RB17s will be made. Following a fruitful and demanding prototype testing procedure, the car will make its static global debut at Goodwood. A 200-hp e-motor supplements the 1000-hp Cosworth engine to provide a total of 1200 horsepower, which is sent to the back wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox

Aerodynamic and downforce of the RB17
The RB17 has remarkable aerodynamics . The automobile can generate up to 3,747 pounds of downforce, or almost twice its own weight, according to Red Bull. To even out the airflow around the tires, the body is equipped with wheel wake management equipment. Active components are also added to the front and rear wings to modify downforce in various situations.
As one might anticipate, the chassis is composed of the highest grade carbon composite. The RB17’s remarkable capabilities stem from its usage of active suspension, which has been prohibited in Formula One since 1994. This suspension system provides extremely precise control over the vehicle dynamics.
Christian Horner, Oracle Red Bull Racing Team Principal and CEO said
With 20 years of legacy in the world of F1 to draw from, and as a performance centred organisation, it only made sense for us to design our own Hypercar from the ground up

Price and availability
According to official estimates, the RB17 will cost approximately $6.3 million, or EGP 195 million. Customers will only be able to purchase 49 units; Adrian Newey will keep one for himself.
