Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) has assembled the next star as part of its 2026 lineup: Simu Liu, otherwise known as Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He will be joining Christopher Judge, who was announced as MEFCC’s first English Voice Actor at the much-anticipated pop culture festival, running from 24 – 26 April, 2026.

Making a special appearance at this year’s convention is the Chinese-Canadian actor, writer and executive producer who made history as Marvel’s first Asian lead superhero. Simu Liu has starred in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, beloved CBC Sitcom Kim’s Convenience, and even in the Hollywood blockbuster Barbie. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet him in person, snap a photo with him, and get an autograph only at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Also joining the region’s largest pop culture festival is Federico Vicentini, straight from the Marvel pages to real life. This talented Italian artist has worked on comics including Imperial, Amazing Spider-Man, Wolverine, Falcon & Winter Soldier and you can meet him at MEFCC’s Comic Creators Club, which gathers the world’s master illustrators, writers, colourists, and rising talents under one roof.
To complete the trio of new names, Brett Breeding will bring with him nearly five decades of experience working on special projects for Marvel and DC. The American comic book artist is best known for inking iconic storylines for Superman, Spider-Man and Thor, in addition to his art, photography and voice acting endeavours.

Boasting bold neon visuals, street-style aesthetics, and a constantly buzzing stage, this is where MEFCC celebrates the culture shaping a new generation of fans, from K-pop to anime and everything in between.
