Modena, December 24, 2024 – Maserati has announced the appointment of Maurizio Zavaris as the company’s Chief Executive Officer for Global Commercial Affairs, effective January 1, 2025. He will succeed Luca Delfino, who is leaving the company to pursue further professional development after his valuable experience at Maserati. The company expressed its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Delfino for his outstanding contributions and dedication during his tenure.
Maurizio Zavaris brings a wealth of specialized experience and a global vision to strengthen the luxury brand headquartered in Modena. He began his career in Italy with Ford, where he progressed through various positions, taking on increasing responsibilities in sales and brand management. He then joined Fiat Group’s automotive division in 1999, holding various leadership roles in sales and marketing across multiple markets. Over the years, he took on key leadership positions, including Fiat’s President in Japan in 2004, International Sales Manager in 2009, General Manager in Spain in 2011, and CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in France in 2012. He later became CEO for the Middle East in 2016. Since 2019, Maurizio has been overseeing the company’s commercial operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, managing markets outside of Italy. Within Stellantis, Maurizio also served as CEO for Spain and Portugal before being appointed to oversee Libre Motor International in the expanded European Union region, enriching his expertise and experience in the sector.
Maurizio holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Management, as well as an MBA in Economics, Finance, and Management, both earned from the University of Ancona and the Adriano Olivetti Institute for Economic Studies and Business Management in Italy.
