In a spectacular evening launch at Dubai’s Bab Al Shams Resort, the JETOUR G700 makes a grand entrance amid lasers and fireworks, blending cutting-edge automotive prowess with Arabian premium.
A Premium Desert Debut in Dubai
Under the starry desert sky at the Bab Al Shams Resort – a luxurious oasis on the outskirts of Dubai – JETOUR unveiled its all-new G700 SUV in an event befitting a premium automotive launch. The setting’s timeless Arabian elegance set the tone: an open-air arena surrounded by dunes, bathed in amber lights and elegant décor reminiscent of a desert palace. Guests arrived to a welcome of Emirati hospitality, with red-carpet treatment and gourmet dining that combined Middle Eastern flavors with international haute cuisine.
The evening unfolded as a grand spectacle – a mesmerizing laser light show and dramatic music built anticipation, culminating in the G700’s reveal on stage through swirling fog and sand. JETOUR executives hosted informative panel discussions about the vehicle’s development and vision, and key regional partners were recognized for their support. In a heartfelt touch, the brand paid special tribute to Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah, Jetour’s brand ambassador and one of the first G700 customers, underlining the star-studded nature of the gathering. The night concluded with a nod to JETOUR’s environmental ethos – a pledge of continued support to the Cheetah Conservation Fund – and a spectacular fireworks finale that lit up the desert horizon, closing an iconic launch event on a high note.

Dubai Launch Signals Middle East Strategy
Choosing Dubai as the G700’s global debut venue was a strategic statement by JETOUR. The Middle East – particularly the UAE – has emerged as a crucial market in JETOUR’s global expansion, and the company wanted to showcase its flagship on a world stage strongly linked to off-roading culture. According to JETOUR, Dubai was selected for the global launch due to its strong off-road culture, international visibility, and the UAE’s growing demand for high-tech SUVs.
Unveiling the G700 in the Middle East’s luxury car capital signals how vital this region is to JETOUR’s ambitions. In fact, JETOUR already leads Chinese SUV brands in several GCC markets – it ranks as the top Chinese SUV maker in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait – giving the company confidence to take on the premium segment. “This strong foundation gives us the confidence to enter the premium off-road segment with the G700,” noted JETOUR International President Ke Chuandeng, referring to the brand’s rapid growth to over 2 million customers worldwide since 2018.

Launching in Dubai also aligns with JETOUR’s “Travel+” global strategy – a dual focus on vehicles and lifestyle experiences. The brand’s swift rise from a newcomer in 2018 to a global player by 2025 (topping sales in markets from Angola to Myanmar) provided the momentum to expand into higher- end models.
“The G700 is not only our first premium hybrid off-road model, but also a carrier of the brand’s upward ambition,” Ke Chuandeng emphasized
underlining JETOUR’s intent to cultivate a premium image under its Travel+ philosophy. By debuting the G700 in the UAE, JETOUR underscores that the Middle East is the “perfect launchpad” for its flagship: the region’s love of capable SUVs, robust local distributor support, and strong sales of earlier models (like the JETOURT1, T2, and Dashing) have laid a firm groundwork for the G700’s success. In short, Dubai’s global spotlight and the Middle East’s market potential made it the ideal venue to signal JETOUR’s entry into the premium arena.
Unveiling the JETOUR G700: Off-Road Power Meets Elegance
When the covers were pulled off the JETOUR G700, attendees witnessed an SUV that marries rugged prowess with refined premium. As the first model of JETOUR’s new high-end “ G-Series”, the G700 is positioned as an all-terrain premium hybrid off-road SUV that can tackle mountains and deserts yet coddle its passengers in comfort. Its design language, dubbed “ Zongheng Aesthetics”, draws inspiration from the majestic Himalayan range – a theme visible in the G700’s bold, geometric lines and imposing stance. JETOUR enlisted top global talent for the design: Andrew Collinson, former Land
Rover chief designer, shaped the G700’s exterior and even earned a 2025 Turin Automotive Design Award (TADA) for its innovative features. Meanwhile, celebrated graphic artist Paula Scher crafted the G-Series’ visual identity, blending rugged spirit with modern sophistication. The result is a vehicle that looks at home on a red carpet as much as on a rocky trail – high shoulders, a broad grille and Matrix LED headlights convey strength, while intricate detailing and LED light motifs add a touch of elegance.

G700’s interior is a premium sanctuary
Opening the doors reveals a spacious cabin (available in 5 or 6-seat layouts) trimmed in premium materials. In the flagship 6-seat configuration, two second-row “airline” seats recline up to 145° with extendable leg rests –allowing passengers to lounge almost business-class style on long journeys. These seats (as well as the front seats in high trims) offer heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions, surrounding occupants in comfort. Above, a wide panoramic sunroof invites in natural light (segmented in higher trims for versatility), and the cabin ambiance is enhanced by a tri-zone climate control with CN95 air filtration and an integrated aroma diffuser for a touch of spa-like freshness.
Tech is omnipresent: the dashboard features a curved 35.4-inch skyline display spanning the driver’s gauge cluster with crisp 3K resolution, complemented by a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and even a 17.3-inch retractable screen for rear passengers. This four-screen setup, along with a head-up display and an 8.8-inch rear touch panel for climate control, creates an immersive digital cockpit. Connectivity is state-of-the-art – wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AI voice assistant, multiple USB-C fast chargers, and even an optional 18-speaker Lexicon sound system with Dolby Atmos (audiophile-grade, courtesy of a Rolls-Royce audio partner) wrap the occupants in entertainment and convenience.

Despite its plush trappings, the G700 stays true to hardcore off-road credentials. It sits on a robust body-on-frame chassis riding on adaptive air suspension, with up to 230mm of ground clearance and all-terrain tires on 18–20 inch wheels ready for rough trails. Under the hood lies a powerplant that stunned the launch audience: an electrified 2.0L turbocharged engine paired with dual electric motors, collectively churning out 665kW (around 904hp) and 1,135Nm of torque. That enormous output – nearly on par with supercars – propels this large SUV from 0–100km/h in just 4.6 seconds, an astounding feat for a three-row off-roader.
Yet the G700 is also a hybrid with brains: it carries a 31.4kWh CATL battery enabling approximately 150km of pure electric driving, and an efficient hybrid drive mode for a total range of up to 1,000km on a full 100L fuel tank plus charge. Impressively, it supports 800V ultra-fast charging, so the battery can refill from 20% to 80% in about 10 minutes – convenient for adventure pit-stops. This Super Hybrid iDM-O system not only gives instant electric torque for off-the-line power, but also optimizes fuel efficiency and keeps the cabin eerily quiet on highways.

JETOUR’s executives at the event stressed that the G700 is intended to set a new global benchmark for hybrid SUVs. “We aim to redefine the premium off-road vehicle,” one JETOUR representative proclaimed, noting that the G700 combines capabilities traditionally seen in serious 4x4s with the premium and tech of a high-end sedan. The company is backing up that claim with innovative features: The G700’s XWD system offers 7+X intelligent drive modes, covering every scenario from highway cruising to Mud, Sand, Rock, and an “X Mode” that automatically senses terrain and configures the vehicle for optimal traction. For true 4×4 enthusiasts, it provides locking front, center, and rear differentials (triple-lock setup) and a low-range crawler gear to tackle the toughest conditions.
Its off-road stats are bona fide: it can ford water nearly 1 meter deep, clamber over obstacles with a 35° approach angle and 28° departure angle, and even hold steady on a 70% gradient incline without breaking a sweat. In a jaw-dropping stunt earlier this year, a prototype G700 drove 1.48km across China’s Yangtze River – outfitted with twin 18kW marine-grade propellers – becoming the first SUV ever to do so. This feat, far from a gimmick, showcased the increasing technical ambitions of China’s auto industry to push vehicle capabilities beyond conventional limits. It underscored that JETOUR is willing to break norms to prove the G700’s mettle.

Setting the Tone for Future Premium SUVs
Beyond the fanfare of the launch event, the G700 represents a broader industry trend: the rise of tech-centric premium SUVs that challenge established players on performance, innovation, and price. In recent years, Chinese automakers have rapidly evolved from value-focused offerings to globally competitive models – and the G700 is perhaps the boldest example yet of these ambitions. It was conceived to “go beyond the horizon”, not only literally in off-road adventures, but figuratively in pushing the boundaries of what an SUV can do. The vehicle’s combination of a near- supercar hybrid powertrain, extreme off-road capability, and lavish comfort signals a new direction for the SUV segment. Industry observers note that the G700’s development – from hiring a former LandRover designer to incorporating features like tank-turn capability and an on-board drone system – is a strategic move to set a new benchmark that even established 4×4 premium brands must reckon with.
One notable trend embodied by the G700 is the merging of sustainable tech with adventure motoring. As a plug-in hybrid off-roader, the G700 arrives just as the SUV market leans into electrification. Its ability to roam the city on pure electric power and then tackle dunes with gasoline-electric hybrid muscle addresses a growing consumer desire for lower emissions without sacrificing capability. This could prompt competitors to accelerate their own development of hybrid or electric off-road SUVs. Additionally, JETOUR’s emphasis on a lifestyle ecosystem – the “Travel+” concept –is trendsetting in itself.
The G700 is not pitched merely as a car, but as a gateway to experiences: JETOUR announced at the launch a partnership for a Liwa Desert Global Fan Festival, where G700 owners will converge to conquer the towering Moreeb Dune in the UAE. By fostering such owner adventures and tying in causes like wildlife conservation (JETOUR’s ongoing “Return of the Cheetah” project supports biodiversity in Africa), the brand is aligning the G700 with a socially conscious, experience-driven narrative. This holistic approach – vehicle as part of a premiumadventure lifestyle – is increasingly resonating with premium buyers and could influence how other automakers market their flagship SUVs.

Crucially, JETOUR is also competing on value. The G700 brings ultra-premium features at a price point significantly lower than traditional premium off-roaders. While LandRovers and G-Wagons command two to three times the price, JETOUR is aggressively positioning the G700 to undercut rivals and attract new customers to the brand. This value proposition, combined with the vehicle’s undeniable specs, might very well force the industry to democratize some high-end features (such as panoramic displays or V2L power export) that were once the domain of six-figure vehicles.
It’s no surprise JETOUR’s executives declared the G700 a “new benchmark for global premium off-road vehicles” – the ripple effect of its debut may push the segment toward more hybrid power, greater tech integration, and a blurring of lines between premium and adventure vehicles. In short, the G700’s launch in Dubai not only marks the arrival of a new player in the premium SUV field, but also sets the tone for a future where off-road SUVs are as smart, sustainable, and opulent as they are tough.
