Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises has announced the expansion of the Jeep® brand lineup in the UAE with the official launch of the new Jeep Commander, a bold addition to the highly competitive mid-size SUV (D-SUV) segment. The Commander raises the bar for premium standards in its class, offering a refined balance of spaciousness, comfort, and Jeep’s renowned off-road capability.

The seven-seater SUV features advanced technologies and premium interior finishes, positioning it as an ideal choice for daily use and family lifestyles. Marking Jeep’s strategic entry into the seven-seat D-SUV segment in the region, the Commander builds on the brand’s strong heritage and leadership in the SUV market. Combining modern design, advanced connectivity, and versatile functionality, it caters to both families and adventure enthusiasts, whether navigating city streets or embarking on long journeys.

Commenting on the launch, Marco Melani, General Manager of Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises, described the arrival of the Jeep Commander in the region as a significant milestone for the brand in the UAE. He highlighted that, coinciding with the Holy Month of Ramadan, the model offers families a well-rounded SUV that blends style, efficiency, and practicality at a thoughtful price point. He added that entering this new segment aligns with the UAE’s declaration of 2026 as the “Year of the Family,” reaffirming the company’s commitment to delivering vehicles that meet diverse customer needs while preserving Jeep’s core values of adventure, freedom, and authenticity.

Design and Interior

The Jeep Commander features three rows of seats with eight-way adjustability. The second row slides up to 14 cm to increase legroom or cargo space, while both the second and third rows offer reclining functionality. Doors open up to 80 degrees for easier access, and additional storage compartments add 31 litres to overall capacity. The second row can accommodate three child seats while maintaining comfort for third-row passengers.

Technology and Comfort

The vehicle comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Wireless charging and USB ports across all rows ensure seamless connectivity. Limited+ and Overland trims feature a powered tailgate, with hands-free functionality available in the Overland variant, which also includes a full panoramic sunroof.

Driving enjoyment is enhanced by a premium Harman Kardon audio system with nine speakers and a 450-watt amplifier, alongside exclusive Fresh Air technology that optimizes in-cabin sound reflection, reducing system weight by 40% while increasing sound output by 70%.

Safety and Performance

The Commander comes standard with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Park Assist, among others. Seven airbags are provided as standard to ensure maximum occupant protection.

Off-road capability is reinforced by a low-range four-wheel-drive system, Jeep Selec-Terrain®, Hill Descent Control, and Off-Road Pages for real-time performance data. Built on a platform composed of up to 79% high-strength steel, the vehicle ensures structural rigidity and passenger safety.

Powering the Commander is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 272 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a robust four-wheel-drive system.

The Jeep Commander is available in Limited+ and Overland trims, starting from AED 149,900. The vehicle comes with a five-year/100,000 km warranty, a three-year/60,000 km service package, and five years/100,000 km roadside assistance.
