Emirates and Huawei have announced the global launch of the Emirates Smartwatch App, powered by the HarmonyOS 5 operating system. This strategic move marks a significant step in advancing digital transformation in the travel sector and reflects the deepening partnership between the world’s largest international airline and a global technology powerhouse.

This milestone follows the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties during Arabian Travel Market 2025 in Dubai. Emirates is now among the first global airlines to integrate its services with the latest version of HarmonyOS. The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to delivering intelligent, connected solutions that enhance passenger experiences—particularly in the Chinese market.

The new smartwatch app has been designed to offer a seamless user experience, enabling Emirates passengers to instantly access key travel services, including:

  • Real-time flight updates
  • Itinerary and route overviews
  • Boarding pass display

All features are accessible through a smart, intuitive interface—delivered with a single tap on the smartwatch, eliminating the need for separate app launches.

The app leverages the advanced capabilities of HarmonyOS 5, providing an AI-powered experience and smooth cross-device integration within Huawei’s ecosystem.
