Genesis has officially launched in Egypt through a partnership with local distributor GB Auto. This debut marks a new chapter in Genesis’s strategic expansion across Africa, making Egypt the first market on the continent to experience the brand’s award-winning, all-electric lineup. The arrival of these vehicles sets a new benchmark for premium, sustainable mobility in the region.

This launch is part of Genesis’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence across the Middle East and Africa, reinforcing its status as a leading global luxury automotive brand. Egypt, the largest and most dynamic electric vehicle (EV) market in the region, provides an ideal setting for Genesis’s next-generation offerings.

Genesis first standalone showroom in Africa

In parallel with the market launch, Genesis unveiled its first standalone showroom in Africa: a state-of-the-art 895-square-meter flagship space in District 5, New Cairo. This showroom is designed to provide discerning customers with a luxury experience centered on the brand’s core values of performance, design, safety, and innovation.

To celebrate the launch, Genesis hosted an exclusive star-studded event on August 7 at Kiki’s by Sage in Hacienda Heneish, along Egypt’s North Coast. The evening unfolded as a refined seaside celebration featuring bespoke entertainment and immersive experiences, culminating in the grand unveiling of Genesis’s vehicle lineup. Guests from business, entertainment, and cultural circles gathered for an exclusive first look at the all-electric models heading to Egypt:

  • GV60 – The award-winning luxury compact SUV and Genesis’s first dedicated all-electric model.
  • Electrified GV70 – The flagship SUV, blending dynamic performance, convenience, and luxury.
  • Electrified G80 – A luxury sedan with class-leading refinement and an extended wheelbase.

Each model embodies the brand’s signature “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy, featuring bold styling, cutting-edge technology, and an ownership experience inspired by the Korean concept of son-nim, which means “honored guest.” Additional models are planned for 2026 as Genesis continues to expand its portfolio in the market.

Omar Al-Zubaidi, CEO of Genesis Middle East & Africa, said that launching in Egypt is a pivotal moment for Genesis. He noted that it demonstrates the company’s commitment to markets where luxury and electrification grow side by side, and he expressed pride in entering Egypt with a full electric lineup that represents the future of mobility. He also emphasized that this launch marks Genesis’s first presence in Africa, a key strategic region for the brand’s continued growth.

Five-year service contract and warranty

Beyond the showroom, customer experience is at the core of Genesis’s philosophy. The brand offers a comprehensive five-year service contract and warranty, along with convenient benefits such as home delivery and door-to-door maintenance. Genesis also provides 24/7 roadside assistance and exclusive access to global concierge services. These offerings are designed to redefine the ownership experience, ensuring unparalleled comfort, convenience, and peace of mind.

Ibrahim Naguib, COO of GB Auto Egypt, added that Genesis is a globally acclaimed brand defined by its standards of performance, design, safety, and innovation. He said it is a privilege for GB Auto to represent Genesis in Egypt and introduce customers to world-class luxury and personalized service through its certified team.

With its bold vision and commitment to design, innovation, hospitality, and exceptional service, Genesis aims to redefine premium sustainable mobility in Egypt – delivering not just a vehicle, but a lifestyle.
