When the sun begins its slow descent over Doha, the city transforms into a symphony of golds, coppers, and soft amber light. It is in this fleeting, magical hour that Rolls-Royce found its muse. The result? The Black Badge Cullinan Series II ‘Desert Sunset’ — a Bespoke creation that blends the Middle East’s natural grandeur with the marque’s unrivalled craftsmanship.
The ‘Desert Sunset’ wears a Bespoke two-tone livery that is nothing short of poetic. The main Bronze body colour takes its cues from the Arabian Peninsula’s desert sands — a warm, golden-brown fusion of iron-rich reds and pale, chalky whites. Above, the roof shimmers in Sunrise Sparkle, a rare tone designed to mirror the sun’s last, luminous rays as they dance across Doha’s gleaming skyline of glass and steel. It’s more than paint — it’s a moving panorama of the Gulf at dusk.
An Interior Bathed in Light
Inside, the cabin is an ode to sunrise. Sunrise leather dominates the palette, enriched with Casden Tan and Havana accents. The details — from the piping and contrast stitching to the Sunrise-embroidered ‘RR’ monograms — speak to a level of artistry that is as intimate as it is indulgent. Bespoke perforations on the seats mimic drifting clouds over the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, a subtle nod to the marque’s heritage. Mimosa Negra open-pore veneer graces the fascia, while Dark Spice carpets and Casden Tan lambswool mats cocoon the occupants in quiet luxury.
Crafted in the Heart of the Gulf
Commissioned by a distinguished Qatari patron through the exclusive Private Office Dubai, this masterpiece is as personal as it is spectacular. “The Middle East remains our most valuable Bespoke market,” explains James Crichton, Regional Director, Middle East & Africa. “Through our Private Office, we bring the spirit of Goodwood to our clients, allowing them to shape their motor car alongside a dedicated Bespoke designer.”
For Ayman Berjawi, General Manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha, ‘Desert Sunset’ is more than a car: “It is a celebration of Qatar’s natural beauty and our client’s refined taste — a bold, emotive vision brought to life through the art of Bespoke.”
The Private Office Experience
Established in 2022, Private Office Dubai was the brand’s first creative outpost beyond the English countryside of Goodwood. Available by invitation only, it offers clients a sanctuary where ideas are translated into one-of-a-kind motor cars, in collaboration with a resident Bespoke designer and client experience manager. Serving the Middle East and Africa, it’s the epicentre of some of Rolls-Royce’s most technically ambitious, culturally inspired commissions — and the ‘Desert Sunset’ is a testament to this unique creative alchemy.
In a region that treasures individuality, the Black Badge Cullinan Series II ‘Desert Sunset’ is not simply transportation — it is a story on wheels, a mobile tribute to the romance of the desert, the dynamism of Doha, and the artistry of Rolls-Royce. As it glides through the city at twilight, it doesn’t just reflect the sunset… it carries it forward.
