Munich/Cernobbio, 24 May 2025 – At the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, an esteemed event celebrating classic and exceptional automobiles on the picturesque shores of Lake Como, Italy, BMW Group unveiled an exclusive concept vehicle that will later be available in a limited production run.

The BMW Concept Speedtop offers a fresh take on the sporty Touring style, combining the refined lines of a shooting brake with distinctive proportions.

“A true BMW embodies both performance and elegance—even at a standstill,” stated Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design. “Our new concept model captures this spirit, with its standout profile making a bold statement—especially within our Touring lineup.”

Designed with weekend travel for two in mind, the interior is spacious and refined, showcasing premium materials and meticulous craftsmanship that seamlessly links the interior with the exterior design.

Sharing its bold design language with the BMW Skytop, the Speedtop will be produced in an extremely limited edition, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts alike.

With its sharp V-shaped front, shark-nose styling, sleek headlights, and illuminated kidney grille, the BMW Concept Speedtop makes a striking visual impression. The central design line flows from the hood across the roof to the rear spoiler, giving the car its dynamic Touring silhouette. This is further enhanced by the roof’s gradient paint, shifting from Floating Sunstone Maroon to Floating Sundown Silver. Bold shoulders and custom two-tone, 14-spoke wheels add to its athletic elegance.

Exquisite Craftsmanship and Attention to Detail

The interior of the BMW Concept Speedtop showcases meticulous attention to detail, highlighting the artistry behind its creation. Traditional brogue-style perforations accent the leather surfaces, underscoring the high level of craftsmanship achieved by BMW’s Manufactory at the Dingolfing plant.

The interior’s two-tone material and color scheme create a seamless connection with the vehicle’s exterior. The shimmering brown hue of the Floating Sunstone Maroon exterior extends into the cabin, blending harmoniously with the deep Sundown Maroon and the soft Moonstone White used for the seats. The dual-tone leather upholstery visually separates the vehicle’s dynamic and functional zones.

A unique design element—the roof’s central spine—is echoed inside the cabin as a soft light beam running across the two-tone leather headliner, offering ambient, indirect lighting.

Even the luggage compartment reflects this commitment to detail. Fully leather-lined and adorned with brogue-style perforations, it features a subtle lighting strip and a dual-section layout for convenient storage of larger items—ideal for extended journeys.

Adding to this luxury experience is a bespoke collaboration with Schedoni, the renowned Italian leather goods maker. Known for crafting premium, hand-made accessories—especially for the automotive world—Schedoni contributed custom luggage pieces designed specifically to complement the Concept Speedtop’s color and materials. Behind the seats, two leather-strapped compartments securely hold the tailored bags, with space in the trunk for a coordinating weekend bag.

Performance and Exclusivity

Beyond design excellence, the BMW Concept Speedtop delivers exceptional performance, powered by the most potent V8 engine currently available in the BMW lineup.

Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President of BMW Brand and Product Management, commented:
“The unveiling of the BMW Concept Skytop at last year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este drew overwhelming interest from collectors and enthusiasts, leading to a limited run of just 50 units. Encouraged by this response, we’re excited to offer the Concept Speedtop in a similarly exclusive series of only 70 units. This remarkable vehicle is now available for order, representing another unique addition for collectors of distinguished automobiles.”
