For the second consecutive year, the Arabian Gulf Mechanical Center (AGMC), the exclusive and official importer of BMW Group vehicles across Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, has proudly reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by supporting the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) as the official partner responsible for sustainable transportation solutions. This continued partnership not only highlights AGMC’s dedication to promoting environmentally friendly mobility options but also solidifies its position as a trusted and influential partner in one of the most prestigious and impactful sustainability-focused forums in the region. By providing state-of-the-art sustainable transport services, AGMC plays a vital role in facilitating the seamless participation of global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts who gather at the summit to discuss and advance green economic initiatives and sustainable development goals.
The partnership between AGMC and the World Green Economy Summit
(WGES) is rooted in the company’s long-established collaboration with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), which not only organizes the event but also remains a key corporate client of AGMC. Since 2017, AGMC has consistently played a vital role in delivering innovative mobility solutions for the summit, an influential platform that brings together global leaders, VIPs, and decision-makers to drive conversations and strategies focused on sustainable and green economic growth.
This year’s edition of the summit, held on 1st and 2nd October at the Dubai World Trade Centre
Attracted over 3,300 participants and featured 80 speakers representing 31 countries. Throughout the event, AGMC ensured smooth and efficient transportation for delegates and speakers by deploying a fleet of 40 chauffeured BMW vehicles, providing a premium and reliable mobility experience. Beyond its role in transportation, AGMC also took the opportunity to present BMW’s latest advancements in electric vehicle technology, showcasing models such as the newly launched BMW i5 and the flagship BMW i7. These vehicles exemplify BMW’s commitment to blending high performance and luxury with environmentally sustainable design principles.
Dr. Hamid Haqparwar, CEO of BMW Group brands at AGMC, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating:
“Our ongoing collaboration with the World Green Economy Summit reflects the depth of our relationship with DEWA and our unwavering dedication to supporting the UAE’s leadership in creating a sustainable future. We do this by offering state-of-the-art BMW electric vehicles and seamless mobility solutions, as well as contributing to the development of the nation’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Since becoming a partner in 2017, we are proud to continuously back Dubai’s governmental entities and to introduce BMW’s latest electric vehicles, which are setting new standards in innovation and sustainable mobility.”
This enduring partnership further demonstrates AGMC’s strong commitment to both WGES and DEWA, reinforcing its status as a preferred partner for major events that align closely with Dubai’s ambitious sustainability goals.
